Springboard Trust Strategic Leadership Term Three / Four - notes toward strategic planning

  Roadmap Workshop at West Eyreton School  Starting to make sense of our three main goals and then initiatives that fall out of these goals naturally.  Really valuable to hear the thinking and ideas from others and have some great questions directed towards my sharing also. Meeting Jen and making sense of the goals and initiatives.  Wanting to put everything in the first year and not being allowed!  A work in progress :) August BOT meeting - Presenting it to BOT for comment, questions, suggestions. PB4L Principal Forum August 2020 Mihi / intro / our school / our context / our vision Why did we want to be a part of the  PB4L professional learning? We were eager to:  be better as a team in this space, gain more tools for our kete, have a research based framework that would help shape our Breens Positive Behaviour Curriculum Where have we come from? A predict and prevent type approach  Relationships first      Restorative approach  Positive behaviour system - lacking depth and ownership   Getting alongside whānau early and working together  Development  of a school wide wellbeing support model  - strategic goals around this for 3 years. Things to hang on to: quality time with good people fresh air and exercise time to breath time to read and time to learn time to be creative time to just be feeling grateful for the things that matter most Things to let go off: the rush the pursuit of absolute perfection the aspiration to be everything to every person the need to please every single person all of the time Recognising the accomplishments of the Breens team I am blessed by the people I work with - the staff have been true to our school values during this time by: going the extra mile learning along the way and being ok about being at the bottom of the learning pit being brave and face the uncomfortable head on  working out of role at times for the greater good of the team looking out for others at all time trying to do their BEST and be B E S T being bold - showing initiative and demonstrating innovation in thinking It hasn't been easy.  It has ...
