Ensure the BOT understands about NZ and the key comps.  It is not just about numbers, the whole child is what matters. Our job is to "provide an environment to allow our students to flourish."  BOT job is to empower the Principal to act. Keep the focus on "the focus of the school, not functionality." Strategic discussion at the forefront of meetings.   (60 mins focusing on what really matters).  Focus on why we are there.  Where are we at with our strategic focus? Reports to the BOT to be future focused and student focused.  What next?  Not purely summative but recommendations ... BOT Meetings.   Do we discuss anything or make decisions that make a difference to our children? Think as PLD as an investment in our people not a cost. To look forward, we must first look backward. Where did Somerfield start? Whole school Te Reo programme.  Based on He Reo Tupu, He Reo Ora.
